Meet Marlon Webb, LHC Class of 2019 and Director of Community & Economic Development for The Veridus Group!
How and when have you been involved with Leadership Hendricks County?
I was a part of the LHC Adult Leadership program in 2019. After going through the program, I continued to engage with the program by participating on the Program Committee.
What has been your favorite moment or experience throughout your involvement?
I do not have one particular moment that I would consider to be my favorite; however, going through the program in 2019 with my cohort for the Adult Leadership program was the best experience I’ve had thus far with Leadership Hendricks County. During this time, I was able learn a great deal of information not only about the County, but the individuals who would become the leadership within the County. They helped make the program a great experience for me.
What did LHC teach you as a leader?
LHC taught me how to become more understanding on issues that impact our communities. Understanding what makes Hendricks County, Hendricks County, played a huge role in candidly engaging with individuals on variety of issues, some more politicized than others, and lead to possible, positive solutions and outcomes that better the communities in which we reside.
What would you tell others who are considering involvement in LHC’s programs?
You will get as much out of the program as you put in. The program benefits from upcoming and existing leaders within the community acting upon the skillset that made it possible for them to be a part of the program. If anyone is interested and engages once accepted, the program will gain that much more value due to what you have to bring to the table.
What’s new since you were involved in Leadership Hendricks County?
While going through the program, I was not a resident of Hendricks County, but did a fair amount of work within the County. Now, I am a resident of Brownsburg!
